About Us

Truroots is an ecological estate and woodland management business founded in 2004. It has a strong ethos arising out of a passion for woodlands and wildlife, supporting and using traditional countryside crafts wherever possible. Whilst preserving these traditional roots Truroots successfully uses modern equipment and techniques to provide a professional and efficient service.

Truroots was founded and is run by Zohair Ghullam who grew up in rural North Norfolk. Surrounded by large sporting estates and ancient woodlands his interest in trees and the countryside developed. Prior to setting up Truroots, Zohair gained qualifications in Forestry and Countryside Conservation and experience with the National Trust as a trainee Forester and Deer Keeper at Gunton Park in Norfolk. During five years working as Deer Manager he furthered his training with courses in deer management, habitat conservation and tree risk assessments.

Truroots is committed to providing all aspects of practical habitat, woodland and countryside management as well as fencing and tree surveys. We also provide and consult on mammal and deer management, grant applications and detail biological surveys.

Helping us to achieve these broad ranging jobs and deadlines is a core of specialist sub-contractors that have the necessary training, labour and machinery.
